Meet your people.
Learn from authors.
Share your creative work.
As we reimagine parts of our world, knowing how to communicate ideas, tell stories and think creatively is needed more than ever.
This unique 6-week creative writing program develops proficiencies in these areas and supports you in completing & publishing a work of writing for your university & life goals.
Skills needed more than ever.
-

Grow your ability to communicate your ideas, tell stories & think creatively.
-

Gain an opportunity to perform your creative work alongside professionals at an Arts Night.
-

Connect with other young writers who share your passion. Meet published authors.
What we’ll be doing:
-
Over 6-weeks you’ll work on a personal collection or single long-form story and have the option to present it at an Arts Night organized by the writing studio to build your public-speaking skills.
-
Narrative arc, characterization, point-of-view, dialogue, setting and conflict—we’ll discuss a new topic each session.
-
In one session, we’ll go behind the veil and meet with a working author to ask questions and learn what inspires them.
-
All participants will have a chance to perform their work alongside professionals at an Arts Night event.
Join me.
I’ve been writing professionally for over 20 years and facilitating workshops for nearly 10 within different community groups. Learn more here.
I wanted to create a new kind of creative writing program for young people to help them meet other writers (young & professional) and see what they can achieve in their writing. We explore the possibilities, off-screens and in community.
It’s clear our creative acts build resilience, comfort with uncertainty and connection to meaning and self.
It’s my hope that in this chaotic world, your writing will continue to be a place to rest, find connection and feel free as it has been for me.

Testimonials
“Each workshop Nadia has run has opened my eyes. I always learn something new about the creative process and myself. It’s become a beautiful and peaceful space for me”
- Hamna, workshop participant
“For the past five years, Nadia has inspired TPUF youth and community members to discover, develop, and confidently share their creative voices through her engaging writing workshops. She creates a space where people feel comfortable exploring their talents, and her encouragement has helped participants take their creativity beyond the workshop into their own projects and public showcases. Nadia has a wonderful ability to bring out the artist and storyteller in people.”
- Michelle Delaney, TPUF Executive Director“I didn’t realize what I could do with my writing. Nadia’s workshop helped me learn so much about how to tell a story and believe in it.”
